It used to be a purse joined a network marketing opportunity based on a recommendation from a relative or friend. This is partly what contributed to the high attrition rate.

Today the Internet is helping improve the success rate. Let’s take a look at what you should focus on when choosing a network marketing opportunity to get involved with.

1. Will you use the product even if you are not a distributor? I think this is probably the most important thing for people to consider.

If you are a large Internet marketer the product becomes less important because you already have a huge email list and a website with traffic. Many people who join a network marketing business do not have these two things.

If you choose to join in MLM business based on the product you personally use you will stick with it even when you are not making money. Not only that, but so will a greater percentage of your downline.

This means do you do not have to enroll as many new distributors to replace the ones that are quitting. When you promote a product you like you will do a better job of selling it and get that point across to new prospects as well.

2. Can you buy the same product at Wal-Mart for 30%-50% less? You reach a time where it is difficult to convince people about the quality of your product if it is grossly over priced.

Certainly your product is a high-quality one or you wouldn’t be using. But if your prospects, or even people in your downline, can go to Wal-Mart and buy a similar product for less some of them will.

People who are not making money in their business generally quit using the product based on price and believability in it. Plus many people shop at Wal-Mart and it’s just more convenient to pick it up than it is to wait on it to be shipped.

3. Does the compensation plan have fast pay retail bonuses and the ability to create reason to link them? I see it all the time where a person drops out of network marketing because they’re not making money quick enough.

It is very exciting to receive even a small check right away and that’s what your network marketing company should provide you. More people will retail products when they know they are going to get paid the following week. This is good for their excitement level and for their cash flow.

Of course residual income is what many network marketers want. You can create an excellent residual income if you pay plan rewards you in the future for work you are doing today. This makes it more likely you will choose that specific network marketing opportunity over another one.

*Share stories about other successful people. They don’t have to be your downline or upline, but just people who have succeeded at accomplishing their goals.

If you’re still feeling a little hesitant about building your own blog, here are a few reasons why you should:

*It’s also important to understand how easy it is, which means anyone can start a blog. *How you can increase traffic.

*How to automate blog posts. You can write 1 a day or several and post them throughout the week.

*Google loves blogs!

*Ways to get backlinks to your blog.

*Be able to be bring more visibility and brand yourself.

*Ways to monetize your blog to bring in additional streams of income.

*How to sell products through your blog.

*Understanding that the individuals will subscribe to your newsletters and attract a huge gathering.

*The more you post constantly, the more your reader base will increase.

*Your faithful readers can post comments and interact with you. This lets them feel like they’re learning and can get help from the expert.

*In the end they will look up to you!

Hopefully by now I’ve convinced you to start a blog. What it comes down to is you can bring about all kinds of traffic to your MLM website by utilizing one. Before long you will notice that recruits and sales will be coming in thanks to this little innovation.

Don’t be afraid to share this type of information with the public. The more you are willing to give, the easier it will be for them to do the same. It’s a great way to build a strong foundation and continue your success in Network Marketing.

With a poor economy more people are seeking out work at home opportunities now than ever before. As there are so many to consider, The challenge in that is locating the right one for them

There are many questions to be answered before jumping into a home business, such as:

Which ones are legitimate and which ones are scams and which are the best and which are duds?

How much does a good business opportunity cost and how much can you realistically expect to earn?

How much time am I expected to put into the business and what is the potential for building a team/down-line?

Most of the top work at home businesses almost exclusively use the Internet. Whether selling products or services these businesses can be duplicated and experience growth quickly throughout the world.

Selling products on-line is a huge income generator because consumers have become internet savvy and enjoy shopping from the convenience of home.

Obviously it’s much easier for the business person to reach the masses this way as well.

Imagine getting up each day grabbing your cup of coffee or tea and not having to fight the traffic to your in-house office! Opportunities like these exist now. You may need to sign up with web-sites that provide these services and take some qualifying tests or have to bid for jobs. You typically get paid once you’ve finished a job.

These types of jobs can also lead to steady long-term work and many people take on more than one type of job. This is really no different than someone going from one part-time job to another but without driving around wasting gas.

Multi level marketing (MLM) is also a viable alternative for a home-based business. There is still a negative image about network marketing, but you can earn a lot of money if you join the right one.

MLMs to offer you the chance to earn money two ways-directly from retail sales and indirectly from your downline. First let’s define the MLM funded proposal and why it’s wo important in any business, including network marketing.

An MLM funded proposal is a system that allows you to earn cash upfront as you build up your list of potential team members. Most of you have heard the sad but true statistic, right? . . .Less than 3% of network marketers make money in the first 3 years of joining the business. That’s a 97% failure rate. Why do they fail?

1. They don’t have enough money to put into the business in the beginning to keep it going

2. They don’t have enough leads for their business.

AND, not coincidently, more than 97% of the people you contact to join you in your MLM business will turn you down. That’s the just the way it is.

But instead of being discouraged by this statistic or trying to figure out how you can change it, just accept it is a fact – you are dealing with a 3% (at the most) positive response and need to organize yourself accordingly. Not everyone is interested in what you have to offer – in fact, hardly anyone is! But that’s ok – because you can still get your opportunity in front of enough people to get some yesses AND turn the “no’s” into cash if you are using the right funded proposal.

This is the way an MLM funded proposal works:

Just give your target market (your prospects) what they want. . . like a marketing system that can earn them money on auto-pilot.

What does your target market want? I’ll give you a hint.ere’s what they are NOT looking for. . .

They are NOT looking for some kind of product or service they can buy (or buy into), no matter how wonderful it may seem to you.

They ARE looking for additional income, a way to get out of a tiresome, low-paying job (or jobs), a means to insure retirement for themselves and a future for their kids, the flexibility to be able to work from home or whenever and wherever they want. . .the chance to spend more time with their families, etc.

So you offer them a money-making funded proposal system that will allow them to achieve their goals and dreams. There are many well planned out marketing systems available for you to offer to your audience – and they are all relatively inexpensive which is just one reason that people will choose a marketing system before they will choose to join your network marketing opportunity. They pay a low price for the chance to make a greater income.

You want to choose an MLM funded proposal that allows you the flexibility to brand yourself and not just the system. Preferably, you want one that shows you how to set up your own marketing too, and not just rely on the system. And by all means, choose a system that lets you keep the leads that the system generates for you.

The MLM funded proposal guarantees that you will not run out of advertising money before you really get going (obstacle number 1). Your funded proposal program should be on auto-pilot. It should provide much needed cash in order to pay for your advertising.

The funded proposal is not necessarily intended as a revenue stream in itself, but it could be.

There are many funded proposal programs on the market. All you have to do is plug into the system you choose, which should be quick and easy, and promote it or let the system itself promote it. The system is already set-up for you – completely duplicatable. . .the key to success in network marketing. You earn commissions as the program sells and the people who are buying the system turn into very qualified leads for your business.

Will every single person who joins the system also join you in your network marketing company? But you still earning commissions off the ones who don’t join your business. This is money which you can pore back into the advertising part of the system or into your own marketing efforts.

Whether your brand new to the MLM industry or you just need a little help in your business, you can use the MLM funded proposal to your overwhelming advantage – It is an invaluable piece of your network marketing campaign that allows you to earn money despite the fact that so few people join you in building your business. And that’s how you’ll be in that 3% of successful MLMers instead of the 97% of failures.

Working from home ways are virtually endless today. What was once mainly possible for people only looking at multi level marketing (MLM) or stuffing envelopes has right away turn into a huge industry with thousands of possibilities.

“Not only is multi-level marketing a scam, it’s also an embarrassing business to be in. Oh, yes, there are people who have been very, very successful in network marketing, but in order to do so, they had to get into the company at an early stage, and they had to completely annoy absolutely everyone they encountered, including friends, family, and strangers in the grocery store. Who on earth would want to be successful that way?”

These are all quotes I’ve either said or heard over the years. I’ve recently revisited my prejudices against network marketing, and I’ve come to a very different conclusion. Here’s why:

First, Multi-level marketing, or network marketing, or direct selling (depending on what euphemism you want to use) has been used successfully in many professions for many years. The insurance industry was perhaps the first industry to use network marketing. Sales agents sell the life products, and their managers get a percentage of their sales, and the general manager gets a percentage of their sales. That’s network marketing. It has also been used successfully in real estate sales and several other industries. So, network marketing is tried and true, and is a successful business model.

Second, yes, getting in early in a business certainly gives you an advantage over the others. If there are three people selling your product versus 3,000 people selling your product, you definitely have an advantage. Yet look at so many industries, such as financial planning (a network marketing model). New people enter the profession all the time who are even more successful than people who were involved early on. Why? Because they learned the techniques of effective sales, and they implemented those techniques successfully. So, like any other industry, network marketing requires the new representative to learn how others have become successful, and use those lessons effectively. This is not unlike any other business.

Finally, with the world’s greatest marketplace in your grasp (the internet) it’s no longer necessary to annoy all of your friends and relatives. You can effectively market to millions of people interested in starting their own businesses or purchasing your products from your laptop in your living room, and you can only market to people who want to know about your product or service. It simply requires you to learn how to effectively market on the internet. Your friends and relatives don’t even need to know what you’re doing (although they might get curious when they see how successful you’ve become).

If you’ve rejected the possibility of getting involved in network marketing, you might just want to take a good look again. Find a company whose products you can believe in, that gives great mentoring and support, and you may be very pleasantly surprise at the results.

Almost each day we find ourselves having to choose between doing things that are urgent and things that are important. All that seems urgent is not necessarily important. But everything that is important to us SHOULD be urgent. For instance, many people feel that cleaning their house everyday is an urgent matter, but is it really that important to keep your house extremely clean? Will it really matter several years from now if your house was spotless? Please don’t get me wrong; I am not saying that you should not clean your house. But often times people do things out of habit rather than out of need. They will do something because that’s what they do everyday, rather than doing it because it needs to be done.

Most people tend to attend to things that are urgent in their minds and give those things priority, and get those things done first without thinking whether or not those things are important in the big scheme of things. We tend to leave the important things for later, because we think there is no urgency to it. We think, well… I can follow up with my prospects tomorrow, it won’t make any difference. Let me just take care of the laundry today, I don’t want it to pile up. You have just given your home business a low priority by thinking like this.

Most successful people avoid this trap and train themselves to give the important things the urgency those things deserve. They identify and accept the important things in their lives and give them urgency. They have figured out that if they don’t give the important things priority, they will not move forward at an acceptable pace.

Let’s take the example of an MLM Home Based Business entrepreneur. They have total flexibility in scheduling their work. Most of them start part-time. Now, succeeding in their MLM business may be most important to them. But what happens to many of them? They get caught in taking care of the seemingly urgent things everyday first. Then if they have some time left in the day, they will work their Home business. Successful Network Marketers do it the other way around. They work their business first, and then if they have some time left, they will take care of these seemingly urgent things. In other words, they give their business top priority and give it urgency. Until a person does that, he/she will find that their day is spent doing things that don’t really matter.

This doesn’t mean that you ignore your relationship with your family and your relationship with god. But you need to create a proper balance where you are not spending your day doing things that don’t really matter in the big scheme of things. Learn to recognize time-wasters, habits and expectations that are not productive. It is not necessary to clean your desk everyday or to vacuum your house everyday or check you email every 10 minutes, etc.

The important things in your life should always be an urgent matter!

The MLM Home Business Opportunity industry can be highly lucrative but is also filled with many challenges. If you can overcome these, this is a great business for you.

Lack of experience and time spent in the industry. Those that have been in the industry for many years have more than likely built up a large network.

The more experience you have the more contacts you’ve made, increasing your chances for succeeding at the many opportunities that are presented along the way.

But for those that are new, be aware that it will take time to build to the levels that are no doubt being tossed around as “easy to achieve.” It won’t be easy, and it will take money and time. Some people just don’t have a patient attitude to build that base.

Lack of group loyalty. Once you’ve put in the time and effort, it’s very possible to build a group of 1000’s of people. When you get to that point, you will be making some decent money through continued enrollments and residuals. But here is the challenge to overcome.

Your down-line hears about a new, exciting company that is getting ready to pre-launch and is offering great deals to join. If you’ve built a great rapport with your group, you may overcome many of them jumping ship, but if you haven’t, your numbers could be decimated rather quickly, as they leave for that new opportunity.

The bottom line: online MLM lacks the personal contact that the MLM businesses from 20 years ago had, exposing you to a potential mass exodus.

Cancelled enrollments/memberships. When people lose interest in the business for a variety of reasons, they are likely to drop out.

Those reasons may include: lack of funds to continue with auto-ship of products or monthly membership dues; basic lack of success; don’t have an on-going interest in the product; to name a few.

You don’t have a lot of control over those, so you must count on up to 50% of your down-line dropping out at some point.

So what’s the key to overcoming these challenges? Like any good business manager, you must make regular contact with your team, providing them with information, instruction, assistance and positive reinforcement. How much and how frequent is the key.

You must become their mentor and development a loyalty. Once you do that, they will think hard before leaving, and your chances of building and maintaining a successful MLM home business will be much better.
