While television and radio advertising still plays a role for major business in how they allocate their advertising budgets, an increasing number of businesses have been turning to the internet to get in touch with their potential consumers. In the UK alone, online spending budgets increased more than 4% in the first half of 2009 while television budgets for businesses actually decreased 16%.
More businesses are starting to realize the value of having a strong internet presence and the branding value that goes along with it. Businesses and companies that are not plugged in to the internet right now are definitely losing customers to their competitors, something which no business can afford to allow. There are definitely many reasons why online marketing is better than TV and radio advertising, and overall it is a more efficient, simple, and smarter marketing strategy.
Organic SEO Traffic
An SEO strategy will improve your website’s ranking in the search engine results and make it visible to those internet users who are already searching for the products and services that your website offers. By contrast, Tv and radio advertising broadcasts the same message to the same audience indiscriminately, regardless of their needs. Chances are, a large proportion of the audience will ignore it.
Increasing your advertising budget to include search engine optimisation (SEO) services only makes sense for those businesses that truly want to ramp up their marketing strategies. For example, if you offer a home renovation service then you can optimise your business website to catch much of the organic traffic searching for home renovation services from the search engines. In essence, it’s absolutely essential to have an SEO strategy that can improve your search engine rankings and get you where you want to be– visible to your potential customers!
Pay-Per-Click Advertising
Another great benefit that online marketing has to offer is that you can get reach out to your potential consumers in an on-demand way by using pay-per-click (PPC) marketing strategies. PPC advertising will work for your company, assuming your budget for advertising is large enough, to have your ad seen by those who are searching directly for the services you offer whether you are organically on the first page of Google or not. By paying for advertisements in this way, your company is getting more direct exposure for their website.
Integration of Traditional Advertising
One of the major reasons that businesses and companies are starting to spend more of their advertising budgets on internet marketing services is not only because there has been a gradual decline in the effectiveness of traditional forms of advertising, but also because of the convergence of advertising media. Phone directories and newspapers are increasingly becoming available in a digital format, and more consumers are actually spending money online! For these reasons alone an internet marketing and SEO strategy is crucial for any business.
Whether you decide to use a professional internet marketing service or take the do-it-yourself route, an online presence enhanced by an online marketing strategy is going to be important in the years ahead. A business will lose customers and profit to its competitors if an online marketing strategy is not put in place.
The #1 most important tool that is critical to your success, is a squeeze page with a unique, compelling offer for your prospects. Your primary objective as an Internet marketer is to get people onto a list so you can build a relationship and sell more products.
If you just send your prospects to an affiliate page – then the person who’s selling the product ends up getting all those leads – and gets to sell other products to them – and they’re lost to you forever. So what you want to do is create your own list so that you can continuously make money – day after day, month after month.
The entire purpose of your squeeze page is to promote your free report or audio or video – and to collect the visitor’s name and email address. It’s called a squeeze page because the visitor can only take one course of action – to provide their information.
Competition can be a major problem whether you run an online or offline business – but doing business online has gotten increasingly more complicated – especially in the Internet marketing niche. Here are three tips to make your lead magnet stand out from the crowd and get more optins.
Tip #1: Be Unique
A few years ago, offering someone a free report for signing up at your squeeze page was brand new and worked like gangbusters. Then everybody jumped on the bandwagon and as it became a regular “offer” it started losing its effectiveness. Then audio files were hot. These days it’s videos. Who knows what it will be tomorrow?
I’m not saying that you shouldn’t offer free e-books, audio files or videos – they’re still effective methods for encouraging people to sign up for your newsletter or other offer. What I am telling you is that whatever your offer is, you need to position it so that it’s different from the rest of your competitors. Otherwise, you’re going to look like everyone else, and your prospects are going to pass you right by.
Tip #2: Offer REAL Value
Building an opt-in email list is one of the best ways to make money online. But you need to offer good incentives to your prospects to encourage them to subscribe to your list. You need to give away high-quality content such as software, online videos, access to exclusive services and other freebies that are perceived as helpful and valuable to your prospects.
Tip #3: Use a Simple Design
My best-converting squeeze pages are super basic with no graphics. You just need a headline, a few bullet points and a call to action. Don’t over complicate things with fancy graphics or long copy. If you split-test your pages, you’ll find that short copy with a great offer will win every time.
I hope you take this advice to heart and start building a list that will make you money for years to come. Any time you need cash, just take a few minutes to craft an email and then click the “Send” button. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you can have money in your bank almost on demand!

When I first started I could have used the home business information I am going to discuss in this article. Here are five things I consider critical to the success of anybody running a business from home.
1. Work off of the daily to do list. Even people who do not really like the structure of having a list admit there is a definite advantage to doing this.
The daily to-do list helps you keep focused on what you need done in your business. It also helps to keep current in your business.
Assuming that you’re trying to build a successful home business you will find a daily to do list helps you move your business forward. It is truly amazing how much can be accomplished at the end of one week taking it one day at a time.
2. Set specific office hours and keep them. Many people start off on a part time basis for their home business. This is okay because you can build a successful business online in a part time basis.
However you must be extremely good at budgeting your time and working consistently at it. Having specific office hours will motivate you to show up to work on days when you do not feel like doing it.
3. Do not let outside interference interrupt what you’re trying to do. Well meaning family and friends can sideswipe your business and ultimately cause it to fail if you are not careful.
By letting these people know when you’re working, and that you are not to be disturbed, you can avoid this happening to you.
4. Learn Internet marketing skills. It’s going to take a lot of effort on your part to learn how to market a home business on the Internet. However it’s extremely important if you want to succeed.
There are many ways to promote online and it’s critical that you learn as many of them as possible. Having a well rounded advertising campaign is paramount to the success of your own business.
5. Write your primary reason for having a home business and put that in front of you where you see it every day. Stick it on your desk next to your computer and read it over and over.
Because of the high failure rate of people with home businesses it will be important for you to have an attitude that you will succeed. Keeping a reason why you are in business to start with will help motivate you to continue at times when it doesn’t seem possible for you to succeed.
These are five pieces of critical business information that will have a big impact on your future success.

“You have no friends. You have no enemies. You have only teachers.” Ancient saying
The question about whether people perceive their glass to be half-full or half-empty is a perennial one. Even the eternal idealists will experience times when little is going their way. At those times it is difficult to see any kind of silver lining among the clouds. However, that is precisely the time when we most need to be positive. It is a time when maintaining an attitude that you can and will succeed, and that you can triumph, is important for both your mental and physical wellbeing.
With the global economic downturn and the worst employment rates in a very long time, it comes as no surprise that many are asking what in heaven’s name we have to be optimistic about. This is further compounded by the problems of the Middle East that threaten the stability of the whole world and leave many of us asking when, if ever, there might be a resolution. Focussing too much on this can render us weak and defenceless if we choose to be so.
However, that is when we are called upon to be optimistic about our lives. There will be some who will be asking how on earth they can remain positive given that they have lost a job, knowing that they will be too old to be re-employed when and if the economy ever turns around. Those whose superannuation has been dealt a blow, may not be able to see hope in their card deck.
There is no suggestion that these events were not important. Nobody is here to suggest that they don’t hurt. However it is vitally important, especially at these times, that people embrace all the positives of their situation. This takes courage.
In recent times I was privy to listen to a motivational speaker called Yossi Ghinsberg, an Israeli, who for twenty-one days was lost in depths of the Amazon Jungle. Throughout those days, even though he knew his chances of being rescued were slim in the extreme, Yossi continued to believe that he would survive. ‘Adversity,’ he told us, ‘is a part of life. Being a victim is a choice’. Even at the seemingly lowest points in our lives, we can make choices. It is at these times that we must take ownership for who we are, where we are, and accept the good and the ugly parts of our dilemma
From then on we can determine who will travel with us in the driver’s seat of our lives. Of course we can elect to be pessimistic, but that has a tendency to breed more pessimism. But if we choose optimism we will have with us, some wonderful bedfellows – love, happiness, and gratitude which will help all us make empowered choices, the choices that will enable us to grow and succeed.
This is when the Law of Attraction gets triggered, allowing us to see new possibilities and bold horizons. If you set about thinking that things can and will turn out ok for you, then that is exactly what will happen.
You know, if you think back to some events that have happened in your life, events that at the time seemed catastrophic to you, you will often find that they occurred at a time when you were least happy, when you knew you had some decision to make. The courage to change at that point was not there. But when hardship struck, choice was taken from you. And from that lack of choice came a new beginning. You were challenged to grow.
The reality is, that at the times when we feel that things cannot get worse, that we have reached the nadir in our lives, that the turning point is there, and things do get better.
If you operate in a business-to-business environment, you can still apply what are traditionally considered consumer-oriented internet marketing strategies to reach your targeted market. However, you will need to customize each strategy in order to maximize its effectiveness with your particular customer base.
Here are 4 Great B2B Internet Marketing Strategies to Get Your Started
1. Education. The first B2B internet marketing strategy is to educate your prospects. When new visitors arrive to your web site, they are most likely looking for valuable, informative content that answers theirs questions and alleviates concerns. By providing your prospects with the tools they need to make an educated and informed decision, you are paving the way to a potentially rewarding long-term relationship. At this point, your goal should be to help your prospects make their own decisions, without beating them over the head with a blatant sales pitch.
2. Establish Communication. Another important B2B internet marketing strategy is to open the door to two-way communication with your audience. The goal at this stage is to educate and/or entertain your customers, while inviting them to participate in a dialogue with you by providing opportunities to make contact, leave comments or otherwise contribute to your web site community.
However, you will also want to make sure that you don’t go overboard with this. Too frequent or forced communication is a bad thing. So, when you do communicate, carefully evaluate the frequency and duration of each contact. Remember, a little bit of a good thing can go a long way!
Besides, you can always use follow-up methods like eNewsletters and personal e-mails to keep things moving forward once communication has been established. This, in turn, leads to the next B2B Internet Marketing strategy:
3. Stay in Touch. Once you’ve connected with audience, you won’t want to leave them hanging. Regular eNewsletters and/or e-mail training series (eCourses) are great ways to provide value and stay in front of potential customers. Again, you don’t want to bombard your potential customers. Instead, you will want to reach her at regular and pre-defined intervals. Further, each e-mail should include a short description of the topic and a case study or scenario that brings it to life. Providing a brief assessment or conclusion at the end of correspondence is also helpful.
4. Collect Feedback. In order to measure the overall success of your internet marketing strategies, you will need to collect feedback from your visitors. This feedback is invaluable in terms of helping you improve on your product or service. Surveys and questionnaires are great ways to collect this type of information. To improve participation, you may want to offer some form of incentive such as a free report or other valuable giveaway in exchange for their time and opinions.
This last B2B Internet Marketing strategy is very important because not only will it illustrate opportunities for improvement – it will also highlight what you are already doing right!

If you have an online business, you already know you need good Internet marketing information in order to succeed. Unfortunately, if you are just getting started, it can be difficult to sort through all the online clutter to find information that is genuine, reliable and most importantly, profitable.
Finding solid Internet marketing information is important because it can greatly reduce your learning curve. It can help you become profitable a whole lot faster. For example, when launching your business, you need good advice on how to choose the right niche and the right product or service. You also need to know how to develop a great web site and how to rank well in the search engines. In reality, these points are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg in terms of what you will need to know in order to be successful long term. Finding good Internet marketing information early on can shave months, or even years, off this process.
Of course, the Internet is a constantly evolving medium. A product or strategy that was all the rage a few months ago may now be out of favor as new ideas appear on the scene. Amidst this backdrop, it is very difficult to distinguish between what is genuine and what is unreliable. Therefore, you need to evaluate any Internet marketing information you find very carefully before investing your hard-earned money or even more valuable time in pursuing it.
When evaluating the validity of any Internet marketing information you find, it is very important to first consider its source.
Some questions you might consider include:
- Is the source reputable? A quick online search is a great way to find any obvious red flags.
- Is the author successfully using his advice in his own business? (Hint: the Internet is full of so-called gurus who have never made a dime by practicing what they preach).
- Can she provide proof in the form of testimonials or endorsements to support her claims?
- Is there an active community surrounding this individual? Does he have a forum? If so, are the conversations going on there focused on the ‘right’ way to do things (vs. sneaky tricks to game the system?) One of the best ways to determine the real deal is to hang back and study what is going on around their little corner of the Internet.
Once you find a reputable source, you then need to be sure the recommended strategies and tips will work in your case. Before accepting and making use of any Internet marketing information you find, make sure it is applicable to your particular business model. In other words, if someone is making a fortune selling information products to an international audience and you are running a dry cleaning service in Topeka, Kansas – you might want to look for advice more relevant to your own situation.
This is where good old-fashioned common sense comes into play.First, find someone who is already successful doing what you want to do. Then, do your research and make sure he or she is legit. Finally, start with the basics and build from there. You will find the tried-and-true fundamentals don’t change nearly as rapidly as the latest fads do. Before you know it, you’ll be on your way to building a profitable and sustainable long-term business online.

In part one of this article, I asked the question, “What is there were a way to get traffic from people who are already experts? And what if you didn’t even have to pay anything up front to get that traffic?”
How to Set Up Your Automated Income System
1. Create or buy rights to an info product on a hot topic.
2. Build a conversion system (squeeze page, sales page, followups).
3. Get other people to sell it and split the profits.
That’s how I made my first $5k online and then it jumped to $30,000+ a month when I focused on step #3. In 2008, affiliates sent me over a million visitors that converted to $4439,116 in sales. And I did that with NO JV PARTNERS.
That’s the power of an affiliate program!
I run my entire business from home with the help of two part-time, virtual employees in who live in Canada. I can do this because most of my day-to-day operations are completely automated. I go into all the details about business automation in the Surefire Profit System.
What I want to talk about right now is creating your own basic info product and getting other people to sell it, so you can build a list and sell high-priced affiliate products to your subscribers.
Step #1: Create a Hot-Topic Product
The easiest way to get attention from affiliates is to create a short, focused report on a hot topic. For example, two years ago people were going nuts over JV Giveaways as a list building tactic.
So here’s what I did:
I signed up for a new JV Giveaway and submitted my gift. I documented everything I did and took screen shots of the process. I wrote a 14-page report (including screen shots). I bought a graphics package for about $100. I sold the report for $7, resell rights for $17, and branding rights for $27. I paid affiliates 100% commission to promote it
That little report did over $10k in sales the first month and it’s still selling today! I also got thousands of new subscribers who bought other products from me and also became my affiliates.
The key to that success was creating a focused report on a hot topic. I didn’t list 50 theoretical tactic for building a list. I documented one proven method for getting hundreds of new subscribers. The 100% commission didn’t hurt either.
A current example it social marketing. Everybody’s crazy about Twitter!
So here’s what I did:
I created viral software to help people get more followers, I bought resell rights to some Video Tutorials and set them up as an upsell, and then I paid affiliates 100% to promote (customers only).
I set it up so only customers could get commission, so there was more incentive to upgrade. The videos are great, the software is great, people are making money, everybody wins.
Within 30 days, affiliates were (and still are) sending over 3,000 visitors per DAY to that site and I don’t even promoted it anymore. I sent a few initial emails to my list to get the ball rolling and affiliate inertia, the viral marketing affect, took over from there.
Those are just two examples of simple min-sites that got BIG results. I cover several different ways to quickly and easily create or acquire you own hot-topic products in the Surefire Profit System training guide.
Step #2: Build Your Conversion System
When you’re developing your plan, you need to factor in lead generation before anything else. How are you going to capture leads?
If you’re selling a low-cost report, it doesn’t always make sense to use a squeeze page and even if you’re paying 100%, you affiliate may not like it. But you can use an exit popup to offer a free report on a similar topic, with links back to the report you’re selling.
Personally, I like to use a squeeze page with an upsell. But that’s a little more work. One method I’ve used very successfully, is making the squeeze page appear to be a membership signup page. Affiliates give memberships away to their subscribers who have to create an account to download the freebie.
Once you have people on a list, you can follow up with great content, build relationships and increase conversions.
Once you decide how to capture leads, you need to write a sales page…
I’m not going to get into the art of copy writing here. But I do want to talk about your offer. If you follow step #1 and create a product on a HOT topic, you won’t need to do much convincing to get them to buy.
You just need to tell them: what you got, what they get, and how they can get it.
Some of my shortest sales letters of out-pulled long copy because my potential customers were already aware of the benefits. They were already primed to buy from social buzz and the “follow the heard” mentality.
If your product is focused on a specific topic that people are already talking about, you don’t need to list a ton of features and benefits. Just tell ‘em how it works, what it will do for them, and how they can get it.
Step #3: Get People to Promote Your Product
If you have a hot product and the conversions are high, it will be easy to get affiliates to promote. And some of your best affiliates will be your customers.
I’ve already talked about paying 100% commission as an incentive for people to both buy and promote your product. In fact, many will buy a product just so they can promote it! But you need to make it easy.
You need to include information about your affiliate program in several places:
On the sales page… On the download page… Inside the report… And in followup emails
Keep reminding your prospects and customers that they can make 100% commission without going through the hassle of setting everything up.
Give your affiliates tools and tell them what to do:
1. Write solo ads and tell affiliates to send them to their list.
2. Write articles and tell affiliates to post them on their blog, Squidoo, and MySpace.
3. Get banners created and tell affiliates to add them to their blog or in HTML emails.
4. Create brandable reports and tell affiliates to give them away to subscribers.
The more you give your affiliates, the more active they will be. Tell them what to do and show them how to do it.
Other ways to find affiliates:
1. Get on the mailing lists of list owners and send JV proposals.
2. Join forums and make friends with list owners.
3. Link to your affiliate program in your signature for articles and emails.
4. Socialize on Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace.
I cover all this and much, much more in the Surefire Profit System training manuals.
What I’ve given you here today, free of charge, is a step-by-step system for getting your Internet business up and running in the next 30 days.
It doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, simple is better. I’ve already proven that point. You just need a product that focuses on a specific topic that people are already talking about and helps people achieve what they’re already trying to do.
The first time is the hardest. But it gets easier every time. The sooner you make the commitment to created your first Automated Income System, the sooner you can enjoy Internet lifestyle that everybody talks about.
Once you have a system in place, it runs almost completely on autopilot…
Your affiliates drive traffic, your sales page converts traffic into buyers, your autoresponder follows up to increase conversions, sales are processed, products are delivered, and affiliates are paid automatically.
That’s what I call an “Automated Income System!”
Instead of chasing shiny objects and buying into the latest fad, try building a REAL business based on evergreen marketing methods that have worked for decades.
This is the true path to the Internet lifestyle.

Five years ago, you’d have to pay $500, $1,000 or more to get Private Label Rights to a product. It just wasn’t that common for people to sell rights to their content. Today, the Internet is flooded with low-quality PLR and the good stuff is hard to find. But there are a few diamonds in the rough…
Below you will find three tips for buying and selling private label rights plus a few good resources for finding quality PLR products.
Tip 1: Buy Quality Content
If you’re going to stamp your name on it, you need to work with quality content that you would stake your reputation on. Hint: if a marketer is selling 10 PLR packages for $27, it’s not worth the investment. You’ll just end up with a bunch of crap that you’d be ashamed to sell.
Tip 2: Buy Exclusive Content
You don’t sell the same product that hundreds of other marketers are selling. Look for exclusive content that is limited to 100 people or less.
Tip 3: Make Your Product Unique!
Stand out from the crowd by creating your own unique version of the product. Here are a few tips:
1. Edit the content: change the name, font size, font color, headings, header, footer, etc. and make sure the spelling and grammar are up to your standards.
2. Change the graphics: if you’re handy with PhotoShop or Gimp, you can modify the PSD files to create new graphics. Or you can simply get new graphics. You don’t even need a complete graphics package! You could just get an ecover and use a simple border for your web page.
3. Re-write the sales letter: if you’re not the greatest copywriter in the world, don’t sweat it. Just change the headline, stress the benefits in bullet points, and make sure you have a good guarantee and a strong call to action.
Where to Find Quality PLR
I belong to several membership sites where I purchase and resell information products in the IM (Internet Marketing) niche. I also buy exclusive content at the Warrior Forum and I keep an eye out for great deals in the emails that I receive every day. Below you’ll find my top resources for finding quality resell rights.
www.ResellRightsExpress.com
This is where I add the top 10 products that I purchase each month. Not all come with PLR. But you will find quality products here.
www.WarriorForum.com
You can find great deals in the Warrior Special Offers Forum that you won’t find anywhere else. Most of the content is in the IM niche. But I have seen PLR content in other niches too.
www.SpecialReportClub.com
I’ve been a member of this site for years and they always come out with great content. They’ve recently added complete PLR reseller packages with graphics, affiliate tools, and more.
www.InfoGoRound.com
They have a huge library of PLR articles you can use however you want, which includes assembling them into killer products. What really sets Infogoround apart, though, is their packages.
www.NicheOlogy.com
Paul Evans has made a reputation for himself by offering excellent material, and this monthly membership site is no exception. The material is great, and you’ll get fresh stuff every single month.
So there you have it. I’ve given you three hot tips on buying and selling PLR and I’ve given you five excellent resources for finding exclusive, quality content. Isn’t it time you get your first product online?
